1. Power System : The core is the hydraulic motor, which is driven by high-pressure oil provided by a hydraulic pump to operate the motor, offering stable and high-torque power to the uncoiler to meet the uncoiling requirements of thick plates or heavy coils.
2. Drum mechanism: It is composed of a hollow main shaft, multiple (usually 3 to 6) sector plates and a hydraulic expansion and contraction cylinder. The expansion and contraction cylinder drives the sector plate to extend and contract synchronously along the radial direction, which can precisely tighten the inner holes of steel coils with different inner diameters, achieving the centering and fixation of the steel coils.
3. Transmission and Reduction System: It includes components such as hydraulic reduction valves and gearboxes. The power of the hydraulic motor is reduced in speed and increased in torque through the deceleration mechanism, and then transmitted to the main shaft of the drum to ensure a smooth and controllable uncoiling process.
4. Support and Guiding structure : Equipped with hydraulic support arms (or idlers), the support arms are driven by hydraulic cylinders to hold the end of the drum or the bottom of the steel coil, preventing the drum from deforming under heavy loads. At the same time, guide rollers and side guide plates are provided to prevent the steel belt from deviating during uncoiling.
5. Control System : Composed of a hydraulic control valve group (such as relief valves and directional control valves), pressure sensors, and a PLC controller, it can precisely adjust the tension force of the drum, the uncoiling speed, and the pressure of the support arm, achieving automated interlocking control.

- High torque output : The hydraulic system can provide a torque far greater than that of the pneumatic system, making it suitable for uncoiling operations of thick steel plates (such as thickness > 10mm) and heavy steel coils (such as weight > 50 tons), and it is less likely to experience insufficient power.
- Stable and controllable tension force: By precisely adjusting the pressure of the expansion and contraction cylinder through the hydraulic valve, an appropriate tension force can be set according to the material and thickness of the steel coil, preventing deformation or slippage of the inner hole of the steel coil and protecting the surface quality of the plate.
- High operational stability : Hydraulic transmission features a "soft start" characteristic. The uncoiling speed can be steplessly adjusted through the flow valve, and the impact during start-stop and speed change processes is small, enabling precise speed matching with subsequent rolling mills, straightening machines and other equipment.
- Strong overload protection capability: The system is equipped with an internal relief valve. When the load exceeds the set value, high-pressure oil will automatically overflow, preventing core components such as hydraulic motors and gearboxes from being damaged due to overload, ensuring high safety.
- Highly targeted application scope : Mainly applicable to the uncoiling of heavy-duty and thick-sized metal plates (such as hot-rolled steel plates and thick stainless steel plates), but the structure is relatively complex and there is a potential risk of hydraulic oil leakage. Maintenance requires regular inspection of the sealing parts and the condition of the oil.
